Launching and Webinar Master of Communication Science, Optimizing Communication in Computerized Transformation Towards Golden Indonesia 2045
In 2022, Indonesia will be declared as the holder of the Presidency of the Groups of Twenty (G20) for one year. President Joko Widodo emphasized that through the theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”, he seeks to support inclusive, people centered, environmentally friendly and sustainable growth as the promise of the Indonesian government. As one of the higher teaching institutions, Al-Azhar University Indonesia has a responsibility to contribute to supporting computerization optimization in accelerating Indonesia's economic growth after the pandemic.
Currently, Al Azhar University-Indonesia has obtained an Operational Permit for the Establishment of a Masters Program in Communication Science, which is expected to be capable of responding to industrial needs. Therefore, as a manifestation of gratitude for such things, the Master of Communication Science Program held a launching as well as webinars with the theme: Optimizing Communication in Computerized Transformation Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045. This activity aims to prepare a quality generation that is ready to welcome the Advanced Indonesia Era, explore the important role of communication and computerized technology, as well as building public opinion about the importance of teaching in preparing quality human resources.
Given the current situation and conditions, the activity is carried out in a Hybrid manner through the zoom meeting application, as well as offline which is attended in a limited manner with strict health protocols at the Arifin Panigoro Hall, Al-Azhar University Indonesia on Monday, March 28, 2022.
In his remarks, the Chancellor of UAI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Saefuddin, M.Sc., hopes that this master's program in Communication Science will support the motivation to continue to contribute science to the younger generation, and teaching professionals in Indonesia. We believe that communication science in particular can provide the best service as well as the research and community service that is much needed in this field of communication.
YPIA Lay Leader, H. Muhammad Suhadi, S. Kom, who was also present at this event gave a speech and felt grateful and proud that UAI had instilled aspects of spiritual points, Islamic manners and morals and teaching and learning methods. Hopefully, especially the master of communication science program, can face the challenges of Indonesia at this time and will give a new color to the master of communication program in Indonesia.
Dr. Ir. Paristiyanti Nurwardani, M.P., Chair of LLDIKTI III, also congratulated Al-Azhar University in Indonesia for obtaining a master's degree in communication science. In his remarks, he wanted to graduate from UAI's Master of Communication Studies not only to get a diploma but also to have a national and international level competency certification related to various types of communication activities.
Universities must also cooperate in research, technological development in the industrial world and cooperate with nearby industries and optimize the economy. At the time Indonesia was Golden and from now on, Indonesia supported the downstreaming of various types of mbkm implementation, namely the downstreaming of blue economics, green economics, economic computerization, tourism and health independence. UAI should also participate in preparing 9 million computerized talents for the benefit of Indonesia for 2035.
