Maybe you are already familiar with the map. Maybe you have often heard the word Map, and understand some of its types and one of them is a large-scale map.
So a map is a conventional illustration of the earth's surface either partially or completely on a flat plane that is reduced by applying a scale so that it can be seen from above with certain articles as a guide. Maps can also make various appearances, both concrete and absurd.
Concrete appearances on the earth's surface as examples such as mountains, ravines, and so on. Although imaginary appearances on earth are latitude, longitude, regional boundaries, climate, equator, and so on.
What is a Large-Scale Map?
Large-scale maps are a variety of maps that have a scale between 1: 5000 to 1: 250000. Such maps are generally used to show relatively small and narrow areas, such as kelurahan, sub-districts, or villages.

Medium scale maps are a variety of maps with a scale between 1: 250,000 to 1: 500,000. This map is generally used to indicate a relatively large area, such as a city or province
Small-scale maps are variations of maps with a size scale of 1: 500,000 to 1: 1,000,000. This map will be applied to show much wider areas such as islands or countries.
Ai Geographic maps are variations of maps with a scale of more than 1: 1,000,000 and are generally used to denote regional areas, continents, and the whole world.

Numerical or numeric scales are variations of the scale that are most often found and this time writing uses a framework. (1 : 1,000,000). For example, if there is a map with a scale of 1 in 100,000, it means that 1 cm on the map represents a distance of 100,000 cm
Scale a line or graphic by applying a straight line that is divided into segments. So each of these segments has the same size. For example, 1 area on the line scale represents 10 km in the field. So 1 cm on the map is equal to 10 cm on the ground.
Finally, there is an oral scale, which is a variety of scales by applying sentences. For example, written on a map "scale 1 cm to 5 km". Means 1 cm on the map represents a concrete distance of about 5 km.
