What Causes Adsense Ads Not Appearing on Blogs and How to Fix It?
️
Talking about Adsense, especially related to the ads displayed on the blog. Maybe there are problems that occur including, ads do not appear or do not appear on the blog.
But here I will share a little experience related to ads that do not appear on the blog after my blog was exposed to ad restrictions and when I re-installed the ad codes on the blog, but the ads did not appear.
However, the problem I experienced was only related to 1 problem, so actually there are several possibilities that cause Adsense ads not to appear on the blog.
Below, let's describe one by one, about what causes Adsense ads to not appear on the blog.
Because with you know the problems that are experienced then you can overcome these problems and restore blog earnings.
The following are some of the reasons or causes for the loss of AdSense ads on your blog and how to fix them.
1. The Blog is Still Under Review / Not Approved
In this case it may be because you are new to registering or your site has not been approved by AdSense. So it will take at most 2 weeks to review the blogs that you register. If your blog is still in the review stage, then there is no need to worry. Because in some cases it can take months.
Solution : Sign in to your Google AdSense account, and check if the blog you registered with is still under review. If so, just wait. After the review period ends and your blog is approved, Google AdSense will send a notification via e-mail that you registered.
2.Blog Blocked by AdSense / Banned AdSense
What is meant is blocked here, because it is possible that the domain you used to register for Google AdSense could block your blog if it is suspicious and detrimental to advertisers. If you're using an aged domain, it's probably blocked by Google.
The solution: Buy a new domain, then move website traffic from the old domain to the new domain with a 301 redirect. In my personal experience it takes about 18 days or 6 months. It depends on the amount of data to be moved.
3.Ads Blocker and Ad Blocker Addons
Maybe you don't realize or forget, so the cause of AdSense ads not appearing on your blog is your own browser that uses an ads-blocker. Additional addons such as Adblock Plus, Ads Blocker, Popper Blocker, Stands Fair and so on eliminate the display of your blog ads automatically.
The fix: Disable the ads-blocker you are using, then refresh your blog page.
4.Cache & Cookies
You need to check the browser cache and cookies to store your digital footprint in the browser and you need to clear cache and cookies that have expired because they can cause AdSense ads to not appear on your blog.
Solution: Clear cache and cookies from your browser and blog will both regenerate cache and new cookies.
5. Wrongly Install AdSense Code
This usually happens because you may not pay attention or are not observant, so maybe you feel that the AdSense ad code has been installed and it hasn't been installed. Because, you are asked to enter the AdSense code on every page you want to place ads on. If you place the code incorrectly or the code you entered is wrong, this could be the reason why AdSense ads don't appear on your blog.
The solution: Sign in to your Google AdSense account, copy the AdSense code correctly. Then, place the code in header.php between the HTMLandtags. This method ensures that AdSense ads appear on all pages that have a header on your blog.
6. Not Verify PIN
Regarding this problem, usually when your AdSense balance reaches 10$ or the equivalent of Rp. 130,000 and maybe also when the minimum payment limit of $100 or Rp. 1,300,000 has been reached, Google will send a PIN to cash out the payment. If you don't verify immediately, then AdSense ads will disappear from your blog.
Solution: Google AdSense PIN normally arrives at your address in about 2 to 3 weeks or even longer. If the letter does not arrive after 3 times the PIN verification request, you can upload a photo of your ID card for verification.
7.JavaScript in Browser is not active
You also need to pay attention to this or you check again so that AdSense ads appear on your blog, make sure JavaScript is active.
Solution: If you use Google Chrome, go to the Settings section, then go to the Privacy and Security section. Next, click JavaScript and turn it on by clicking Allowed (recommended). How to enable JavaScript in the browser can be different, depending on the browser you are using.
8.Account Rejected
If this is clear, it's not. Because, Google AdSense has the right to reject your application to become an AdSense publisher. When your AdSense account is rejected, the ads will not appear on the blog.
Solution : Check your e-mail inbox regularly or directly visit google.com/adsense to check the status of your request.
9. No Relevant AdSense Ads
Regarding this problem, it really depends on the Adsense advertising policy. Because, blogs with niches that are too narrow and do not have advertisers make it difficult for AdSense to determine what kind of ads will appear.
This also applies when your blog turns out to have content that is too varied so that AdSense has difficulty determining the type of ads to display.
Solution: Determine the direction of the topic of discussion on your blog. It would be better if you focus on one topic and discuss everything related to that topic. If you want to choose a microniche, make sure it has a lot of advertisers.
10.Ads Not Appearing on Certain Pages
There are also other things that can cause your AdSense ads to only appear on one page but not on other pages, the causes include:
• Blog pages contain content or keywords that are adult, gambling, and/or violate the terms of AdSense.
• The blog page is indicated as hate speech, harassment, bullying, and provocation.
• Blog pages selling liquor, prescription drugs, tobacco and their derivatives, weapons and ammunition.
• Blog pages selling or distributing college assignments or papers
• Blog pages promote illegal activities and/or violate the legal rights of others.
Solution: If you think the page is problematic, delete or repair the page. After that, the ad will appear within 48 hours or 2 days. If it still doesn't appear, you can directly contact Google support for your problem.
11. New Ad Unit
Once your AdSense account is approved and you create a new ad unit, it will take about 1 to 2 hours for your ads to appear. In some cases, new ads appear after 48 hours.
Well, maybe when you copy the ad code there is a statement that the ad will appear in about 20-30 minutes. But sometimes it takes a long time, because new ad units require a review by AdSense.
The fix: Log in to your AdSense account and check the Ad Unit status change from “new” to “active”.
12.Blog Violating ToS (Terms of Service) Google AdSense
Because your blog violates policies, Google updates the ToS (Terms of Service) regularly. Conditions that used to be allowed are now banned so your AdSense ads don't appear on the blog.
Solution: If you don't get a notification about a TOS update in your email, check here. Then, delete content or words that violate these policies. Make sure your entire blog page does not violate any of the TOS stated on that page. This includes the content of the comment section and the name of the author of the comment.
13.Blog Not Added
Actually, if this problem, no longer need to be explained. Because it's only natural that once your AdSense account is approved by Google, you can add another blog that will load ads from your AdSense account.
This is called site authorization with the aim of preventing ads from showing from your AdSense account on any blog.
Solution: Sign in to your AdSense account. On the left menu, select Add Site and then click the Add Site button in the right corner. Add the blog domain for which you want to show ads.
14.Once Rejected by AdSense
For this problem, sometimes it is caused by your email or account that has been rejected by AdSense. Because, according to Google, AdSense has a feature that disables ad serving if your request has been rejected for various reasons. It could be, this is the cause of your AdSense ads not appearing on the blog.
How to fix: Wait up to 48 hours to 1-2 weeks. This time is required for Google to update their servers about changes in account status.
15.Change Theme or Template
Changing the theme and layout of the blog can be the cause of AdSense ads not appearing on the blog. The reason is, changing the theme / blog template is the same as changing the blog code structure. If your blog's theme/template structure is down compared to before, AdSense ads will not serve.
How to fix: If you haven't verified your PIN, return the theme/template to its original origin. If you have verified, make sure the blog theme/template is better and cleaner in terms of code structure. This also happened to me, because my Adsense PIN was only processed on November 4, 2021.
16.AdSense Script or Code Placement Error
This error may actually happen to you who misplaced Ads.txt and robot.txt must be installed on the blog so that AdSense ads can run. The ads.txt file contains the AdSense ad code.
Solution: Your AdSense account will display a warning if you haven't installed ads.txt on your blog. Follow the instructions on Google's request. Avoid fiddling with the AdSense script to avoid the risk of ads missing and permanently banned.
17.Ad Load Settings on Ad Units
This usually happens in the type of automatic ads that you put on your blog. Because, Ads Load is an AdSense feature to manage the number of ads that appear on your blog. Ad Load percentage can be increased or decreased depending on the needs. If you want to increase your revenue, you can increase the number of ads.
Solution: Sign in to AdSense. On the left menu, click Ads>Overview. Edit the blog domain that doesn't show ads, then set Ad Load. The more Ad Load you swipe right, the more ads will show.
18.Other Object Closed Ads
Incorrect blog and ad layout settings cause competitive content to pile up and ads to be invisible. In this case, AdSense ads have appeared but are covered by other objects so they are not visible. Usually happens on your blog that uses automatic ads and manual ads.
Solution: If you understand CSS, please adjust the position of the blog layout so that the ads are not closed. Otherwise, move the AdSense code to another page or section.
19. Google Algorithm Update
If this is the case, it's not your fault. Because the Google Adsense Algorithm is constantly changing, it can be the cause of AdSense ads not showing on your blog. It will take time for AdSense to adjust to the new algorithm.
Solution: Find information about the algorithm update and apply it to your blog. Wait up to 2 days and check again if the ad has appeared.
20.AdSense Ad Impression/Restriction
Ad serving restrictions occur when Google suspects the source of traffic coming to your blog. To protect advertisers, Google limits ad serving on your blog. It could be, this is the cause of your AdSense ads not appearing on the blog.
This is what I'm experiencing, on November 7, 2021, this blog is hit by ad restrictions. But after I uninstalled all the ad code on my blog and linked to google analytics after about 9 days the ad barrier on my blog disappeared in the AdSense dashboard notification.
Since I couldn't wait, 2 days after the notification disappeared, I immediately installed the ad codes on my blog as before. But after about 1 hour, the notification reappeared on the AdSense dashboard. And finally I'm lazy to uninstall the code again from scratch that is installed on the blog. That's why I let it go, after all it's just an ad restriction. It doesn't mean that all ads don't show.
So, for now I'm just waiting for Google AdSense's decision which is listed in the policy center, waiting 30 days without messing with the ad codes on the blog.
So, just focus on increasing organic visitors until the Ad Restrictions are completely gone.
Workaround: Wait up to 30 days for AdSense to release the restriction. While waiting, optimize your SEO performance so that a lot of blog traffic comes from search engines. So, let it be, because I think it's okay to ignore it for the next 30 days from the start date the ad restriction notification appears on the Adsense dashboard (November 7, 2021, this is my blog being restricted).
21. Ads Not Showing on AMP
If you're using AMP and your AdSense ads aren't showing in AMP, it could be that you've installed the wrong ad code.
This can also happen because of your error when editing or even placing the ad code.
Solution: Sign in to AdSense and enable ads for AMP. So that your ad appears.
22. Already Too Many Ads
It may not be a problem but, AdSense does not recommend placing too many ads. When there are too many ad units, Google's automatic fish will not serve.
Some are due to loading ads that will appear slow, so there is a possibility that they won't appear on your blog page.
Solution: Consider carefully the number of ads that run. Implementing too many ads can result in penalty and AdSense account being banned. I don't think it's banned, maybe the suspension is more like that and then it just ends up being banned.
23. Too Often Change Ad Units
This may often happen for beginners who have just received Adsense. Because changing ad units too often can result in ad serving restrictions. Maybe the goal is to make it neater, yes, but my advice is not to do it too often.
Workaround: If your account has been restricted, wait up to 30 days for your restrictions to be lifted. Well, my suggestion that I'm experiencing is, you don't need to fiddle with the AdSense ad codes that are already installed on your blog, as I explained in point 20.
24.Clicking Your Own Ads
Either intentionally or unintentionally, Google applies a penalty if you click on an ad on your own blog. This could be the cause of AdSense ads not appearing on the blog.
Maybe it's like this, yes, this actually happens not when you click on your own ad on purpose or not. More precisely, after you are subject to restrictions because of this, so there are some ads that don't run, come back again like point 20 that I have explained.
Solution: Use an ad-blocker in your browser to prevent accidental clicks.
25.Invalid Activity
this is actually almost the same as the point above, but not related to ad clicks, yes. More precisely to those of you who often visit your own blog over and over with the same IP.
The solution: try not to frequently visit your own blog for any reason, especially when you frequently refresh the same page with the same IP. My advice don't.
Those are some of the reasons that cause AdSense Ads Not Appearing / Missing on Blogs.
My advice, if you still want to be accepted as an AdSense publisher, try to comply with all the rules and policies that have been made by google adsense so that your blog will live a long life.
